Supporting You Through Your Motherhood Journey
I’m a proud mama to a lovely toddler and my own journey into motherhood inspired me to support other women as they navigate one of the most transformative seasons of their lives.
At Kindred Ground, I combine hypnotherapy with practical techniques that you can take into everyday life. My sessions are designed to help you manage stress, build emotional resilience, strengthen your confidence and feel more equipped to handle the challenges that motherhood can bring.
My mission is simple: to create a safe space where mamas feel heard, supported and empowered to look after themselves too.
Because when mamas thrive, families flourish.

HOW OUR SESSION WORK
Gentle, Guided and Led Entirely by you
Hypnosis is a calm, focused state — similar to deep meditation or getting completely absorbed in a good book. You remain aware and in control throughout.
We begin with a conversation. There’s no rush, no pressure, and no expectation to “do” anything perfectly. We simply move at your pace.
The goal isn’t to change who you are, but to help you access the calm, confidence and inner resources already within you.
Hypnosis is non-invasive and involves no physical touch.
Fertility & hypnotherapy, answered
If there's something else you'd like to ask before booking, a short conversation is always welcome.
No. You remain conscious and aware during hypnosis. You can hear, speak, move, and stop the session at any time.
It can feel deeply relaxed and focused — similar to meditation, or the feeling of being completely absorbed in a book or Netflix drama. Everyone experiences hypnosis differently.
Most people can experience hypnosis, although the experience varies from person to person. You don’t need to “try hard” or achieve a particular feeling. We simply work at your pace.
We begin with a conversation about what you’d like support with. We then use guided hypnosis and practical techniques tailored to your needs. Each session is guided by the areas that feel most important to you. You’ll also be given tools that you can continue using beyond the session.
No. You get to decide what you’re comfortable sharing. Hypnotherapy is not about forcing you to talk about anything you’re not ready to discuss. Our work is guided by self-compassion and kindness. You can choose what you’d like to share, and we can work with what feels comfortable and appropriate for you.
No. Hypnotherapy is non-invasive and does not involve physical touch.
This depends on your goals, circumstances, and how you respond to the work. Evidence suggests that a course of around six sessions may be beneficial, although the number of sessions will vary from person to person. We’ll review your progress along the way and tailor the support to your needs.
No. Hypnotherapy is a complementary approach and does not replace medical care, diagnosis, or treatment from a qualified healthcare professional.
It can be used as a complementary form of emotional support during the postpartum period. Your individual circumstances and medical needs should always be considered, particularly if you are experiencing significant emotional or physical symptoms.
Hypnotherapy can provide a supportive space for teens to develop stress-management, confidence, emotional awareness, and coping skills. Sessions are adapted to their age and needs, with a parent consultation included.
No. Building trust is an important part of the process. We create a safe, respectful environment and work at your teen’s pace.
That’s completely okay. There is no right or wrong way to experience hypnosis. We use simple guidance and techniques to help you find a comfortable level of focus and relaxation.
You don’t need to have any particular belief. An open mind and willingness to participate are enough.
Every person and situation is different. If you’re unsure, a conversation before booking can help you understand whether this approach is appropriate for your needs.
No. Whilst research suggests that hypnotherapy may help with stress, mood, and general wellbeing during fertility treatment, there is no guarantee that hypnotherapy will result in pregnancy. Fertility is complex, and many different factors can influence the outcome.
The Hypno-Fertility programme is centred around six sessions. This gives us time to explore different approaches and provides ongoing support throughout your fertility journey. If you feel you would benefit from additional sessions, we can discuss this towards the end of the programme.
Fertility can be a deeply emotional as well as physical experience. The uncertainty, waiting, and treatment itself can sometimes bring significant stress, worry, or feelings of being out of control.
Hypnotherapy can offer a space to work with these feelings, develop practical ways to manage stress, and build greater confidence and emotional resilience throughout your fertility journey.
It can also support you in making positive changes to habits and behaviours, where these are relevant to your goals.
Hypnotherapy can be used as a complementary form of support alongside IVF and other fertility treatments. Many women find that it helps them approach treatment feeling calmer, more relaxed, and more empowered.
It may also provide useful tools for managing stress, preparing for procedures, and coping with the emotional ups and downs that can come with fertility treatment.
It’s completely understandable to feel unsure, especially when you’ve already invested so much time, energy, and emotion into your fertility journey.
Everyone experiences hypnotherapy differently. If you’ve ever become engrossed in a really good book or movie, immersed yourself in something creative, or experienced a state of “flow”, you may already have experienced something similar to the focused, inward state used in hypnosis.
Hypnotherapy cannot guarantee pregnancy, but it can offer you practical tools and emotional support to help you navigate your fertility journey with greater calm, confidence, and resilience.
Given the choice, I would advise doing the course in the second trimester of your pregnancy so you can enjoy the benefits during your pregnancy as well as at the birth of your baby.
It is not so much a matter of learning facts so they are fresh in your mind, but more a matter of absorbing the information so that it becomes second nature, but KG Hypnobirthing works whenever you do it.
I have taught a woman who gave birth two days later, and it worked perfectly well.
If you do the course earlier, you get the benefits of KG Hypnobirthing during your pregnancy as well as at the birth of your baby.
- Breathing exercises
- Deep relaxations
- Visualisations
- Very effective work to release fear and build confidence
- Comforting massage
- How the father can be your powerful protector and support
- How your body is designed to give birth with efficiency and comfort
- Knowledge and information about pregnancy and birth that you are unlikely to be told anywhere else
- How ‘the system’ that you find yourself in works, and how to work with it to achieve the best result for you
- A simple practice regime to support you at home
- Understanding how the mind and body work together
Before the course you will be sent Colour & Calmness the pregnancy and birth relaxation CD or MP3 so you can start to practice and develop a positive outlook on pregnancy and birth straight away.
At the course you will be given The Hypnobirthing Book and a folder of handouts to support you during the rest of your pregnancy and the birth of your baby.
They don’t have to, but they will be very glad if they did. Most birth partners arrive at the course utterly sceptical and leave extremely enthusiastic.
We don’t expect you to believe in it. Why should you? We do ask you to listen to the facts and the logic so you understand how important it is and the difference you as a birth companion can make.
Have a look at the birth reports from fathers, and you can benefit from their experience.
A hypnobirthing birth partner will be knowledgeable and able to support her as she gives birth. They are a huge asset in the birthing room, and many mothers say, ‘I couldn’t have done it without them.’
They have practised together before the birth which brings them closer together, and they know they have played an important part in how the baby enters the world.
For couples in a relationship, this deepens their connection as a couple, as well as their bond with their child.
A close friend or family member who is going to be in the birth room to support you when you give birth can come to the course, as well as your partner.
It is important that they understand what you are doing and how best to support you. There is no additional charge for this. This does not apply to birth professionals (including doulas).
Yes, definitely. Many women have come to the course on their own if they have a husband who is away on business, as a single mum, if it’s a second baby and they can’t find a babysitter for their elder child, or any other reason.
Just remember that KG Hypnobirthing works, and you are very welcome. If your partner can’t come, we would welcome your mother, a friend, or whoever will be supporting you at the birth instead.
Your KG Hypnobirthing teacher is always there for you. Please call or email if you feel stressed, are put under pressure, or we can help in any way.
It will be delivered over 4 x 3-hour sessions.
